I noticed that you have been posting on JFKFacts. Glad to see that you are taking on MacAdams as he tries to defend the indefensible on Baden.
I don' t know if you know a lot about the Garrison investigation. The moderator at JFKFacts has put forth a theory that Garrison was cooperating with the CIA to "throw" the case in New Orleans. He says this for a number of reasons: one of the attorneys involved, David Baldwin, with links to the CIA, was related to Mrs. Garrison. Shaw and his attorneys knew this and did not reveal this to scuttle Garrison for conflict of interest. This suggests that they were working together. Some of Garrison's private backers in the Truth or Consequences group had ties to the CIA, and may have paid or influenced Garrison.
I have contacted Joan Mellen weeks ago - no answer. I asked Jim DiEugenio about it. He said it was a non sequitur to conclude that Garrison was in cahoots with the CIA. I asked Robert Tanenbaum about it - no answer. I was wondering what you thought of this theory about Garrison.
Although I've not delved into the Garrison trial very deeply, it's clear from the evidence I've seen that the CIA & Justice Department were actively attempting to demolish Garrison's efforts.
Had they been working together, this wouldn't have been needed.
So no, such a theory has no basis. (and indeed, would be preferred by WCR Supporters to explain why the CIA & Justice Department were sabotaging Garrison... ie, "they weren't, they were working together"...)
Perhaps others, more deeply knowledgeable about Garrison and the Shaw trial, would care to chime in?
