John Connally spent nearly 30 years looking at his wrist - he died in June 1993. He knew the bullet entered the upper (or dorsal) part of his wrist and exited the palm side. It is quite simple.

The Z frames shown here on DVP's web site show the hat. If Connally were holding the hat with his palm facing upward, then the bullet would have had to have come from within the car. There is no debate.

I DEFY YOU to produce a photo of someone holding a hat that can have the trajectory you claim. If you have problems posting a photo, I'll be happy to help.
