Ben, I don't know if you have looked at Sherry Feister's trajectory studies but based on her blood spatter analysis (her career forensic specialty) she comes up with a trajectory similar to yours...probably just a tad to closer to the overpass but certainly on the "other" knoll. Which of course goes very nicely with a diversion from behind the fence-line on the grassy knoll which draws all the attention there what the sniper team exists gracefully while all attention is elsewhere.

No, I've not looked at it - but the subject of Sherry Feister came up recently, I don't remember who (Lee Abbott, was it you?) - so I ordered her book. It will be on my list of books to read.

Of course, a shooter who broke the windshield from the front, as I accept, could not possibly have fired any other shots we know of, and thus - conspiracy is a given.

I have nothing but disdain for those who think several lone nuts all just happened to converge on Dealey Plaza to take their separate shots within seconds of each other...
I was unconvinced by Sherry Fiester's book. It seems very strange to me that she can ignore the approx 85% of visible blood spatter and bone captured in Z313 which FORWARD of the EOP.....not to mention the witness statements from JFK The Lost Bullet with Max Holland that describe much blood and matter in the car forward of JFK's seat.....
Well Patrick, she has evaluated hundreds actual crime scenes, given expert witness testimony on numerous actual murders and retired from a career as a specialist in blood spatter - but obviously its up to everyone to form their own opinion. For context , I do know for a fact she did consider the film frames in great detail as well as Holland's book. I also know she spent a good three to four years of study before even expressing an opinion on the subject.
Larry,

I must revisit the book and take another look at her theory. Personally I never bought into the frontal shooter theory. I think there would have been far more witnesses saying shots came from two directions. I think that number is around 10 from the approx 250 witness statements taken in the days following the assassination and then for the WC.

The forward movement of some 2.5 inches between Z312 and Z313 is persuasive of a rear sourced shot. I cannot recall how she dealt with that.

Thanks.
In reference to the witness opinions on origins of the shots, you might want to take a look at Stuart Galanor's study of the witness views on origins of the shots based on their actual statements versus the WC tally, if memory serves a copy of his work linked to their statements is on the Mary Ferrell Foundation web site. He did it a decade or so ago and his study of their actual wording as translated to a plot map is pretty interesting.
Larry,

John McAdams version of the stats on the shots...number and direction... is based on student analysis of the quoted statements many of which were misrepresented - including Stuart Galanor's version of events....

I am sure you are familiar with his web site...

Yep, very much familiar with John's site and his class assignments... Again, according to memory Stuart's work on the MFF site is actually linked to the individual witness statements so everyone can make their own assessment of what they said as well as his interpretation. Which is something I always recommend.
Well I decided I should top being lazy and since everybody should look for themselves, there is the appropriate link to do so:

thanks for the link, Larry...
