While recently playing Whack-a-Mole with him, he popped up and opined that Oswald shot Tippit without any doubt whatsoever.

I argued the time line from his rooming house to the shooting is a problem according to nearly every witness (as if that would stop him).

"Nope, he had plenty of time to shoot Tippit at 1:15 pm." Patrick insisted.

"But witnesses said Helen Markham was concerned she'd be late for her 1:12 bus taking her to work... and that was several minutes AFTER they heard the shots," I said.

Patrick replied, "All buses were running late because of the traffic caused by JFK's assassination."

I said, "Nice try! ... The buses may indeed have been running late, but in Markham's mind it would have been there at 1:12."

Helen Markham was walking to the bus stop - and she was still a block away. According to the FBI, the bus would have been there at 1:12, and 1:22 - but it seems clear that it was the 1:12 bus that Helen Markham would catch. She kept referring to a 1:15 bus in her testimony - but she was clearly just rounding the time.

In order to have walked the additional block, and been waiting for the bus - it puts Helen Markham FIRMLY as a witness to a shooting that happened around 1:06.

You're absolutely right to correct Patrick on this issue, at 1:15, Helen would have been either on the bus, or at least a block away waiting for that bus (if the buses were running late)
