On Amazon's JFK V thread DVP factiously asked:

And, of course, the "authorities" who were tasked with actually doing the official *investigations* into JFK's death wouldn't have anything of value to offer, right Willy? They were *all* nothing but shills, liars, and cover-up agents. Right?**

Bingo, Davy! ... I suspect Hoover and LBJ knew of the Oswald impostor in Mexico City within 24 hours of the assassination (if not weeks sooner). Don't know whether they immediately pieced the entire puzzle together, but they undoubtedly recognized the CIA's m.o.... Their plan was to hide the truth from the public and not announce their president was killed from within. *Hello, Allen. I need to speak with you in private asap... And please tell Mrs. Dulles I said hi.*

Davy continued:

**We should, instead, rely on Internet super sleuths like Ben Holmes, Willy Whitten, James DiEugenio, Anthony Marsh, Sean Murphy, Gil Jesus, Ralph Cinque, William Kelly, Dawn Meredith, Albert Doyle, Donald Willis, and Walt Cakebread (et al) to tell us all the true facts about how President Kennedy died.**

Me thinks you're over-complicating this matter on purpose by making it sound one needs to be a top-notch crime solver, when most high school dropout members of the DPD knew the WCR had it bass ackwards... And I have a hunch you know that, too.

This is, of course, the famous shoot the messenger reaction to bad news. It's far easier to blame the poster than it is to deal with the evidence in this case.

The fact that Vincent Bugliosi flat lied about the "ragged" nature of JFK's throat wound being a perfect example.

Bugliosi made the claim that both Perry & Carrico had stated that the original bullet wound in JFK's throat was "ragged" - yet couldn't quote any such thing.

And here, over 50 years later, neither can David Von Pein. But neither can David state publicly that Vincent Bugliosi acted like a prosecutor rather than an historian when he told this lie in support of the WCR.

And that fact tells the tale.
