Photo atop the Dal-Tex Bldg. shows shooting JFK from the sniper's nest window nearly impossible - Lee Abbott - 06-07-2016

Amazon Customer posted this link a short while ago: http://www.patspeer.com/sniper.jpg

It seems that even a left handed shooter would need to be leaning half-way out the sniper's nest window to have even a remote chance of hitting JFK.... And Oswald, as we all know, had enough trouble shooting right handed.

"It seems that even a left handed shooter would need to be leaning half-way out the sniper's nest window to have even a remote chance of hitting JFK.... And Oswald, as we all know, had enough trouble shooting right handed."

Absolute nonsense, if that were true the WC would never have got away with their conclusion.

The simple fact is that between Z200 approx and Z313 there was NO OBJECT (live oak tree branches) in the way of JFK from INSIDE the 6th floor SE window.....there is no disputing that Lee.

Why bother studying this case if you just make stuff up.....?

You're a rather humorous chap. Patrick... You stated, "Absolute nonsense, if that were true the WC would never have got away with their conclusion."

They didn't, according to at least 80% of those who have some basic knowledge of Dallas.

You further asked why I bother studying this if I make things up?

That's quite an ironic remark from someone I consider the Thomas Edison of inventing situations in this matter, from words Katzenbach never used to what "must" have been going though Oswald's mind from the time he wrapped the M-C in Ruth's garage... Where, according to YOU, he first covered the disassembled rifle with cloth so it wouldn't leave any tell-tale signs it ever contained a weapon.

"They didn't, according to at least 80% of those who have some basic knowledge of Dallas."

Correction 40% approx and that is not about the issue of whether or not an assassin had a clear line of sight from approx Z200 to the head shot!

Logic classes Dex...?

I merely suggested that Oswald COULD have used a cloth as well as a paper bag......I did not say he did......how would I know.......

Debating skills classes Dex...?

Re: Photo atop the Dal-Tex Bldg. shows shooting JFK from the sniper's nest window nearly impossible - Lee Abbott - 06-07-2016

Patrick accused me of making things up, then stated, "Correction 40% approx (don't believe the WC's conclusions) and that is not about the issue of whether or not an assassin had a clear line of sight from approx Z200 to the head shot!"

I disagree, Patrick. The issue in this matter is, and always will be, honesty. The WC's conclusions weren't honest, nor are those who believe their conclusions.

Where, for example, did you come up with only 40% of those who know the basics of the assassination do not believe the WC's conclusions, when honest people familiar with this statistic readily agree it's at least 80%?

Were arithmetic classes unavailable at Cambridge?

Re: Photo atop the Dal-Tex Bldg. shows shooting JFK from the sniper's nest window nearly impossible - Patrick C - 06-08-2016

There are a number of polls around on the JFK question and stats vary.

Generally people who are older return a higher % for no conspiracy, but the majority of Americans still believe a conspiracy existed. It is not as high as 80 / 20 however.

2014 Poll - Gallup

39% of Americans over the age of 40 believe there was NO conspiracy. Or 61 % believe there was a conspiracy. The Mafia and the US Govt being the favourites

So you are effectively calling those people dishonest...?

I fail to see how you can conclude that if a person believes the WC findings - they are dishonest....that is just ridiculous and I am afraid speaks volumes about your logic - or lack of it.

Arithmetic has nothing to do with it. I am not performing any calculation. I am merely reporting and commenting on a statistic.

Here is a link to a 2013 poll of all adult age groups.

Re: Photo atop the Dal-Tex Bldg. shows shooting JFK from the sniper's nest window nearly impossible - Lee Abbott - 06-08-2016

Following your comments during the past several years, Patrick, I have generally - if not always - found your numbers slanted in favor of your views. In this case, for example, you chose one particular poll (the Gallup).

As you know this is a presidential election year in the US, and I've witnessed 5 or more polls on the same topic resulting in 5 different statistics. And observing how you operate, it wouldn't surprise me at all if you flaunted Gallup's because that one was the most favorable to what you wanted to hear.

I could also use your favorite tactic and say, "Gallup was wrong."

Either way, that's what I consider dishonest.

Re: Photo atop the Dal-Tex Bldg. shows shooting JFK from the sniper's nest window nearly impossible - Patrick C - 06-08-2016

I am merely quoting poll results. You however have stated that it is now an 80 / 20 vote on the JFK case and that is simply not the case. Now either you are being economical with the facts or you simply don't know them. The stats have always favoured a conspiracy for several reasons. One of the main ones is that most of the American public know very little about the case and what they do know is invariable skewed by movies like JFK and pro conspiracy sensationalists like Jim Marrs and Harry Livingstone.

It is not Gallup that is wrong, it is the majority of voters. If those same voters would read "Oswald's Game", "Phantom Shot" and Peter Knight's "The Kennedy Assassination" I expect you would find a rather different set of figures.

The link, of course, only shows 30% (+/-4%) that believe a single shooter was responsible.

This is a common believer factoid.

The implication being, the more you know about the case, the more you'll go with the Warren Commission Report.

But Patrick knows for a FACT that this isn't true. Many highly knowledgeable people still accept a conspiracy & coverup in this case.

Right Patrick?
