Yep... you can play the 'if' game all day long... with virtually innumerable variations.

I've always been quite impressed with our Constitution... it was very well written for it's time, and has done very well for our country. I quite accept that our country would be far better off if we still followed the Constitution (rather than the mess it's become.)

And the Constitution provided for the Electoral College for a reason.
