Re: Garrison
There are a series of CIA "Garrison committee" documents which show that the Agency was panic stricken when they learned of Garrison's investigation - primarily because it threatened to expose a number of their Cuban exile assets, as well as aspects of their domestic operations practices and possibly even various covert operations against Castro. Given that the Agency had conducted a variety of propaganda projects using New Orleans resources - both before and after the Bay of Pigs fiasco - the last thing they wanted was somebody start talking to their sources, assets and even Cuban exile employees. The meeting notes discuss a variety of legal actions to block Garrison, including efforts to forestall his issuing subpoenas to the CIA itself in Virginia.
