Such unbelievable denial! Of course to pin complicity on the CIA, the believers want a document which reads, "I, Mr. CIA man, hereby had Kennedy murdered and am now taking steps to cover it up."

Even then, Document #1035-960 is close to just that.

It's a document which I often liken to a Web site's FAQ page, half instructional and half tutorial. Like trying to teach your kids stranger danger. "If you are confronted, this is what you say."

Ben's cited excerpt about the use of the term "conspiracy theorist" is staggering. And yes, it's almost always in a demeaning context. The proof of the knee-jerk reaction to the phrase "conspiracy theory" would be the few times I've debated 9/11 with die-hard apologists who, like JFK, accuse me of trying to portray 9/11 as a "conspiracy." At which point I must remind them a dictionary is in order.
