Re: Buell W. Frazier and the Vietnam draft
Actually Frazier was drafted into the Army in 1965 at age 21. He served in Europe for seven months and then returned to be assigned to Fort Lewis, Washington near Seattle. His job specialty was "cook". At the end of the standard 2 year hitch for draftees he got out entered the reserve for Vietnam. He ended up in the reserve, whether active or inactive I'm not sure, at the time two years inactive was pretty much SOP.
