Subject to correction (as I'm going by memory here...) But I'm under the impression that the photo on the right was 'discovered' in the 90's... and the one on the left was known back in 193-64 time period as a DPD 'recreation' photo.

Demonstrating that the DPD knew about the photo on the right back in 1963.

That's the story as I recall it, but I can't cite anything off the top of my head...

Perhaps, but please notice that the bodies are exactly the same, down to folds in clothing, fingers, etc., so it's kind of hard to believe a recreation was that exact, don't you think?

Ah! I see what you're getting at. Now that I pay attention to the background... I'd certainly like to see the originals, but I'm guessing that if both are authentic, and not forgeries, it would pretty much prove that the BY photos are fraudulent.

(If you can correctly untangle that sentence! )

Subject to viewing real photos (and not online images), I'd have to agree, it's downright impossible to match the backgrounds so perfectly...

Mark Ulrik claims interest in the photographic evidence - let's see if he'll weigh in.

Should critics come down hard on a particular conspiracy laden theory about the two photos - the CIA (through the media) would be able to 'yank the sheets away' - so to speak.

I've long thought that a number of widely known "critics" are really false flag operations... so such a thought about these photos wouldn't be out of line.

Let me give you an example... Greer Shot JFK.

A False Flag operation that had critics running in circles, and was easily shown to be the sheerest of nonsense. I'm not saying it was a false flag operation, only that it certainly looked like one.

Every once in a while you see a document floating around that's just too good to be true... such as one that was asserting that Oswald was CIA. There's no reason a critic would create such a false document, but it's easy to see why believers, or intelligence agencies would do so.

Perhaps I'm not really speaking of a 'False Flag' per se...

Maybe the terminology should be different.

But the JFK field is over-run with people who aren't honest & serious about what they are doing.

Ah, I see what you mean. This photo is indeed too good to be true, which is another reason I'm suspicious of it.

Josephs also refers to it as a "False Flag," and I guess that's kind of correct. We are supposed to jump on board and connect Roscoe White to the photos, which is a small step because we've already connected him.

All I know is that I got the same chills when viewing this photo for the first time that Helen Markham got when viewing Number Two in the line-up. :roll:

Here is an oddity. When the Carcano in the Backyard Photographs is compared to the Carcano in the National Archives, they do not appear to be the same weapon.

What can explain this?
